My mother recently moved out to the middle of nowhere on a 10 acre plot of land. Her driveway is longer than the street I live on so naturally I was a little concerned about her safety especially with her being out there alone. She hates when people “baby” her so I knew getting her something too security focused would be a big no-no which is why I went with the driveway alarm. In my head it’s for her protection but in her head it’s a useful tool to know when a visit is pulling in. We tested it over the weekend and it works great. I was a little worried that with the lower price it would be lower quality but it works just as I would want and expect it to. It has 3 options for the alert which is something I didn’t even notice until I set it up. When it was at the loudest setting we could hear it from the other rooms in her house which I was pretty impressed by. It also has the option of alerting you via light instead of sound which happens to be my mom’s favorite setting. She says the sound scares the you know what out of her when it goes off during her nap or while she’s asleep but the light is a much more pleasant wake up call. She’s sensitive enough to light that it still wakes her up. Overall I am very happy with the purchase, my mom loves her “useful” driveway alarm and I love her “safe” driveway alarm 😉

I purchased the 4VWIN Home Security Driveway Alarm for a small office where I work as an assistant manager. As an AM, I frequently have to run meetings and conduct interviews. I can’t see the door from my office, and I’m often having meetings later in the evening when the receptionist is off.
It’s very frustrating when I’m in my office and someone walks in and there’s no one to greet them, we may need to hire another Rec. But until then,I needed a reliable and unobtrusive method of being able to tell the exact moment someone enters the office. I set these up on the floor for now, but I intend to hang them up on the wall for anchorage. No one’s kick themed so far, so that’s good lol.
The 4VWIN Home Security Driveway Alarm comes with 2 sensors and a receiver. I placed the two sensors in such a way that they’d always be able to tell when someone is walking through the door. They work perfectly, and so far no one has tripped over them. You can set the alarm to HI or LOW, which I appreciate because I don’t want an alarm blaring through my office every time someone walks through the door. The sensors lights blink when they’re activated or “read” something. The receiver lights up when the batteries (not included) need replacing. Not waterproof.
All in all, it’s a neat cute little gadget, I’m thinking about purchasing another set to monitor my pet’s activities during the night and make sure he’s not getting into trouble -_-

My husband is a hobby-ist, meaning, he has A LOT of hobbies that keep him preoccupied when he’s not working and home alone. We purchased this motion sensor detector kit because most of his hobbies either take place in the backyard, or in a shed on the side of the house that he has set up with all his “stuff.” While back there, it’s almost impossible to see or hear if someone knocks on the door or has delivered a package or the mail. We also have heard of porch package theft making its rounds in our neighborhood again so knowing when something has been dropped off in real-time is very reassuring.
This motion detector is really cool and easy to set up! We had a few C-batteries on hand and that’s basically all that was required. We decided to put one detector by the front door and one in the backyard. So if you want to mount them, like we did, that is one additional but final step.
The sound monitor can be carried with you, set on a counter or shelf, mounted somewhere – whatever you want, as long as it’s about 400-feet or closer to the detector. (We haven’t pushed past the 400-foot threshold to see if it works, but we really don’t need to.) There is a low and high sound setting on the monitor. When we don’t need to use it we put it in the “off” position and there is no chiming. The sound is similar to what you hear when you walk into a mini-mart (see video). I also like that the sensors have a light that pops on for a few seconds whenever something is in its path. If there was an intruder, for instance, that little light alone might be enough to send him or her packing!
So far, this kit has served its purpose well with regards to what we intended it for. It seems very sturdy and unobtrusive. I think we chose wisely and it’s really nice for my husband to know he can be productive without stopping to check the front porch when he’s in the hobby zone.

This works great! I live in a rural area and people like to ignore no trespassing signs and sneak down to my ponds….I put one sensor where they would drive by and the other where they walk…alerts me every time! I go out remind them they are trespassing and not to return! I could not be happier with how well it works…..occasionally a deer or coyote set it off but I do not notice any false alarms…..I recommend this product!

This may work well indoors, but it is crap outside – too many false alarms. Its way too sensitive and you cannot control the sensitivity. I followed the directions to the “t” and mounted them in multiple positions to troubleshoot. No luck, the thing goes off when air passes over. And yes I understand thermal currents from the ground etc. I think these would be great indoors, but can’t use them for the driveway. I will say the one impressive peice was the range. I tested mine out to about 500 yards in direct sight line to receiver and it worked.
