I just received my new solar panel, it was packaged well and had no damage. We will be using this for boon docking camping in our RV, as that will be 3 months from now I just hooked up the panel to a 12v deep cycle battery that had been sitting around for awhile and somewhat discharged, it was a very dark cloudy day so I didn’t expect much, but to my surprise in 5 hours the battery was at full charge. This unit appears to be very well made and the wiring and connections are first class.

Absolutely love this portable Solar charger! I’m a 68 yr. Old female and wanted something simple to use! I did a lot of research before deciding on this brand and am glad I did. Was impressed from the start with the customer service and all the questions they patiently answered. The case it comes with is sturdy and very nice. We got an extra extension cable that had ” o” ring connectors for batteries and a quick connect. It also allows us to move the unit further away from batteries. BE SURE and connect unit to batteries BEFORE placing in direct sunlight so it will recognize your 12V batteries. Otherwise it may think they are 24V….was told this by Customer Service. This charger is waterproof, has very sturdy legs, is fairly lightweight, sets up in a minute, keeps our two Marine batteries fully charged! We purchased the panel that has the “waterproof” charger. Very happy customer…exactly what we wanted!

Purchased this item to keep the camping trailer charged on trips. We had a very shady camp spot and had to follow the sun yet even with it not getting full sun all day was able to keep the battery charged for a week long trip.

This does a great job of charging my RV battery. It will charge my battery to full after about 5 hours on a clear sunny day, and about 6 to 7 on a hazy one. A better and cheaper alternative to mounting on the roof. You can turn it toward the sun when you need to gather more rays. The case is of very high quality, but be careful, it won’t protect from a fall. I kept the shipping box that it came in when storing in my RV. Great product.

We bought this product with the hope of using for the first time on a fall trip to Virginia. Unfortunately, hurricane Florence changed our plans. We went to the UP of Michigan instead and have almost no sun. Therefore, I really can’t say how efficiently this panel works. What I can say is that it is very well built, and the help that I received in ordering the right product and accessories was above and beyond my expectations. Lynn M. was very quick to respond to my questions and gave me the right answers the first time. I wish some other sellers I have dealt with did as well! The panel is heavy. My first impression was that that was a negative. A stiff wind changed my mind. This helps keep the panel planted when gusts happen. I am very pleased with the product and the service.

Where does one start when they purchased something that they needed and the product went above and beyond expectations?! That’s where I’m gonna start with this one. 🙂 I purchased this ACOPOWER 100W portable solar panel kit, with two 12v 22ah batteries (Mighty Max ML22-12) to make an electrical system for my ham radio. I received it in short order (Thanks Amazon and Acopower) and took it with me to the 2018 ARRL Ham Radio Field Day, where 40 thousand ham radio operators around the US participate in. From Saturday at 12pm noon until 7pm that evening I was running SOLELY on the solar system. I did not have to use the generators as the other stations did. Even at 7pm I could have gone longer but I didn’t want the batteries to go below 12.4 volts, which is what they were at 7pm. I ran on generator power until 5am the next morning when I put the solar system back in place. At 5am I did not get direct sunlight, but it was enough to get those batteries charging.

At about 6am I turned off the generator and we ran on the solar system until the Field Day officially closed, which was 12pm noon (Mountain Time Zone).

I measured the voltage coming out of the M connectors (in back of the panels where you can attach another solar panel), and it measured 22 volts with no load. When I had the batteries attached to it the voltage read 17 volts.

Now, here’s the kicker!… I was not running an AM radio off the batteries… I was running a 100W HF transceiver which was transmitting at least 70% of the time. What this means is, during the 24 hours of the Field Day contest I was transmitting on it way more than I probably should have…. I don’t know what the duty cycle of the radio is, but 70% of the 24 hours equates to 16.8 hours STRAIGHT transmitting… and it was at 100W RF power to boot.

This may or may not mean anything to anyone else, but I can assure you that the solar system from ACOPOWER was able to keep up without a problem! And that’s what I care about! I purchased them for my ARES Go-Kit, which contains a 65W VHV radio… which in the field I would only use 10W or there abouts…so if it could keep up with almost 17 hours straight transmitting at 100W I’m sure it will do just fine using it for what I intended on using it for in the first place.

The case seems very rugged… a bonus! I wasn’t sure what the case would look like, but I was happily surprised!!

Would I encourage YOU to take a look at ACOPOWER? You can bet your bottom dollar!!

The manual does need some updating, when you receive the unit and start to test it, Make sure you hook up the to the car batt first before pointing the panel toward the sun. The car batt is 12V and the 2 panels has the capability to charge at 24V What you want is 2 Green solid lights on the charge controller. If you get a red light on the batt then it thinks it is to charge a 24V batt and is in Over discharge mode because it senses the 12V car batt. Hook the Batt first then point the panels to the sun to avoid this. Normal is 2 Green Lights!

We just bought this to charge the battery for our mobile home’s lights, our devices, etc. We were consistently able to charge our devices and maintain the battery at a minimum of 2/3 full during the day, even with needing to run the ceiling vent fans during a 95 degree week in the Adirondacks. I highly recommend this panel to anyone.
