We have this item and we have the other ones. We LOVE the alert system. With this particular one you have to use batteries. Our other ones are solar charged.
We prefer the solar charged BUT we love the ideal of the alert system
We live 1/4 mile from the front one and we are able to receive alerts
The company stands behind their products. We had water get in one of the solar charged and they replaced it immediately!

We live in a rural area just outside of town on a long narrow property. Our living space is on the oppostite side of the house from the drive so, without this alarm we don’t know if cars are turning on our 450 feet long drive . We are not crime-free having had a truck stolen recently, so knowing who is in the drive or on the property is more important than ever. Be pro-active and get one before you have a problem. I will order another sensor to put where the truck is parked. My ideal setup would be 2 sensors and 2 receivers that all work together. I’d like a receiver in the living area and upstairs in my office.
Setup is a snap; just remove the waterproof cover on the transmitter, load up 3 AA batteries and in a couple of minutes you are ready to protect. If you are in a hurry use a bungee cord to put the transmitter up. The “Owl Eyes” on the receiver light up when triggered so you get audio and visual alerts. You can select from multiple audio alarm sounds and when I found the dog bark I was sold on this device.
Tests: Our 450 ft drive distance is no test for this device. It’s been at that distance for a week. Today I got in the car to test the distance. While it will not work through a wooded area, a clear line of sight or semi-clear worked at 900 ft, 1100 ft and 1700 ft (was as far as I could go before trees interfered).

A month ago I purchased three sets of solar driveway alarm from Htzsafe. The alarms were easy to set up and worked perfectly. I immediately saw that I can add sensors to the alarm network to cover indoor areas. Luckily they have this battery-powered sensor that is convenient for any indoor location. It took less than 3 minutes to set up. I don’t really need its half-mile range and weather resistant at my current application, but it is good to have for future needs. The post sell service was praised by many buyers and I have the same experience myself. It is always possible to receive a defect electronic product from any manufacturer, but their top tier service makes me feel comfortable to shop from them.

This is not my first driveway sensor from this company. My others are the solar powered 1/4 mile versions and I am extremely happy with them. Being battery powered, this one met my need for one particular path that did not provide the sun that the solar panel needs for power. After a short fine tuning session to insure that I had the appropriate height and angle to detect the motion that I wanted to detect and not detect the ones that I did not want, everything is working just great. The battery duration is obviously dependent on the number of detections as well as the quality of the batteries, and I am very pleased with the duration that I am experiencing. I am using the recommended 3 AA Alkaline 1.5V batteries. I am extremely happy with this product and I will get another if the need arises.

I use this alarm to be informed when “The Cat” wants to come in. The sensor performs well and seems to be easy on batteries. The Cat appreciates it too. I have it on a deck that isnt covered. The receiver also performs well. The alarm tones can be changed to be different by pressing the side button for that purpose. Different sensors in differentlocation can be added with different sounds. The volume can be changed also. It lights when motion is detected as well as emiting a sound. If you unplug it, the volume returns to the original factory setting. It does not have an on off switch, I added a plug with an on off switch on it that the device is pluged into and I mute it if necessary. The loudest alarm can be easily heard all over the house. The alarm is simple and shril. I have owned other alerts that where more expensive that were no better except they may have a greater range than this one. It would work well driveway purposes. For my needs, this device works very well. I recommend it and so does The Cat.

We have a HTZSAFE driveway alarm that works great. It is obvious though that it is a sensor but because we have it on a tree, no one seems to notice. Their customer service is the best! The sensor wasn’t working right so I contacted them to see if I set it up wrong. In two days I had a new one delivered. No questions, no returning the old one. Haven’t had any more issues.
I have been wanting to get one for our entrance gate that is farther away so when the company offered me this one to test I thought this would be perfect.
It does not look like a sensor, which I really like. It has been well tested this weekend. We had wind, rain, freezing temperatures and a lot of traffic. While it is not a ½ mile away there are trees and bushes between the sensor and the receiver. Does not seem to have any problems with that. I also like the fact you can change the range. I set it on the shorter range so it didn’t pick up the deer and other wild animals crossing the road. It has 35 different alarm tones and a volume control.
The only thing I cannot evaluate is the batteries. Since we have only had it a week, I don’t know how long they will last. The other one we have is solar so we never have to worry about it. Maybe they will come out with a solar one and other cute animals.
While I did get this free, believe me, I would not hesitate to give it a bad review if I could not recommend this.
