I added 2 bolts in photo to hold the retainer plate tight simple mid to make it work on a suburban with custom rain gutters. Fit and finish could be better. Very heavy duty

Had to make modifications otherwise the gutter clamps would not work.
The clamp was to lose in its guide allowing it to miss the gutter entirely!

I needed a roof rack to attach my 2 100W solar panels to on the roof of my Chevy Express van. They have 3 (maybe 4) settings for height and I put the panels on the lowest setting which makes them almost invisible from onlookers. Had a problem with the bolts not being so I went to HD to replace them for a few bucks. They are easily adjustable. With a step ladder, I was able to put them up myself and adjust them to my needs – I put up 4(2 sets). They do not move once secured.

The rack is very heavy grade steel and powder coated well. You will need to add another 1/4 20 bolt and nut to secure The unit so that it will absolutely not move under load. Capable of 500 llbs. if you secure all 4 mounting brackets with an extra nut and bolt to lock them in place. I installed on a pick up cap that has 4 gutter brackets attached to the cap. Over all very sturdy and well worth the money if you’re willing to do the extra work (drill) and provide The necessary hardware to complete The job.

I did not expect rust to start seeping through the paint in numerous places after only a few weeks of rainy weather. Kind of “you get what you pay for!”

I returned it as it would not fit the gutters on my vehicle.they are VERY sturdy and well made and I hate I had to return them.

The product works well enough, but with just two Racks you can pick up a lot of vibration on 16′ boards over 35 mph. If I was to buy again, I would get kits with 3 racks. The middle rack would help dampen vibration. However, this product is as advertised. It is working well enough for me, DIY home improver.

Good racks for the money you pay for. Arrived sooner than I expected. However took me more then a week to put it on. The problem is the hardware come with it. One of the bolts thread broke i looked everywhere to find the exact match and couldn’t find. Ace, HD, Lowe’s…. Finally I had to get a different size bold and make a new thread in to the bracket. Pity the seller doesn’t include a few extra bolts and nuts. Otherwise it’s a good product and easy to install.
