Needed to install lights in my detached garage but didn’t have a spare $1k to run electric out there. Decided to go with a green energy source. For under $300 I have more then enough power to run lights and some power tool chargers.

My system is this solar panel going to the included charge controller. From the charge controller to my 100Ah marine deep cycle battery. Hooked up to the battery I have a 400W inverter that I plug my lights and chargers into. I run the lights or the chargers until I can upgrade my inverter.

Install was very easy. The instructions are clear and tell just about everything you need to know.

I recommend picking up some solar panel extension cables depending on how far away you will be mounting your charge controller.

i am surprised by this system. i wish the company would sell the panels by themselves so that i could order more without having to buy another kit, since i already have the controller. i live in florida and its been less sunny than normal, but the panels are still producing electricity.
i like the panels and if the seller reads this review, please sell your panels by themselves along with the kits.

Super easy to install. Tip: Solder and heat shrink the connections instead of using the quick connects. The quick connects pulled loose when running the wire during installation.

This set of 2 solar panels will be going on top of our backyard shed. We have no electricity in that area of the yard and it has always been a difficult spot to get light to at night.
These panels have all the mounting hardware, tool to tighten the wires, and clear directions. The controller is easy to use and the entire thing is self contained.
As we will be running 2 lines of LED low voltage lights (24 in total), this will give us enough electricity to power them all night long.
The panels are heavy, perhaps 15 pounds each, so installing them should be easy with 2 people.
Ensure that they will be given a full 8 hours with unobstructed sun and that will be enough to run a generator, lights, camping equipment, phone chargers or whatever else you have.
These were packaged very securely with lots of styrofoam to protect the panels. The directions are clear, there are youtube videos as well to help with the install! You don’t need to be a professional to put these up!

Having use of a power station or portable battery when camping or really just enjoying a day outdoors makes things so much more convenient for my family. I love that with this solar panel I can charge my portable power station but it also works for:
Caravan, RV, Golf car, Electric car, Yacht, Boat, Tent, Home solar panel system.

It has 2 USB ports so I can also charge my phone. It is WATER-PROOF so it holds up well to outside use and weather. It can lay flat in the grass or be propped to angle it so that it better catches the sun.

When camping we have several things that we need powered and this solar panel really gives us a lot of independence since it charges without electricity. We don’t like “roughing it ” to much but still enjoy time outdoors so having this is really a great addition to our camping gear! We have more then 1 power station and didnt have any difficulty with it working with any of them. It works great with a 12 V battery. .

    The Solar panel Kit includes:
    100W Solar Panel
    20A PWM Solar Charge Controller
    2 x 16ft MC4 Connector Cable
    Premium Mounting Z Brackets

Overall, this is a very useful, durable and well made solar panel. Also great for emergencies if power goes out at home (to charge generators which can power other electrical items) and it makes me feel more prepared. As a mom of 3 anything that makes me feel a little more prepared for the “what ifs” is a good thing!

I have a handful of portable batteries that I use for various projects and I needed a solar panel to charge these. I got this more or less as a test panel. I plan on putting this on my shed and using it to power everything in the shed. This comes with the hardware you need to install it or you can use it like I do and just prop it up against something. I did buy a cord for this so I could plug this in directly to my portable battery. This has been working how I would expect it to. It charges my portable battery just fine
