Excited to use a combination of wind and sun, we ordered this product. No manual available online only the included paper.
Initially noticed metal shavings in the paint job had me concerned. 3 (very short 4″) red wires coming out of the bottom of the unit were slightly cut where it exits the base plate which would cause a short to ground. The plate has sharp edges and was not chamfered. I repaired by individual shrink tubing around each wire and one large heat shrink around the whole bundle where exits the base.
The base plate (flange) bolt holes were too close to use with the 2″ ridgid pipe so smaller stainless hardware was used. Supplied flange hardware is not stainless steel and will corrode.
Charge controller had a bubble under the label but appears to be new. Wire leads were also very short 6″ and are not replaceable as this unit is sealed.
Vibrations are apparent but only at low speeds. Unit powered up and produced very low energy but did keep battery bank from depletion overnight which was the primary purpose for purchasing and installing.
If this unit doesnt fail in 1 year or if it catches fire I will update again. Would recommend for the price to use at your own risk, check wires for damage and test continuity. And remember to make quality welds and protect with galvanized paint.
Spent an additional $100.00 for 10′ 2″ ridgid pipe, strut, strut straps, and boot for roof penetration. Used PV wire and waterproof butt splices withan inline fuse holder.

I’m frustrated. We live off grid and we cant find a plate to mount this on. We cant mount it to the house bc of vibration. So, its been sitting here for 3 months and still not hooked up. I hope one of these days I can find a way to put it up

The wind turbine looks very sturdy due to Aluminum Alloy body. Including a clear illustration for help you to install wind generator. Also include an anemometer is a surprise small thing. Great!

it has not adapter to connect to pole or pipe with screw. you have to weld the ring to pipe. other parts looks ok. but I can not install it till finding weld shop help.

Let’s start with IT WORKS. Got up to 13.5v today without problems, but that’s not to say there hasn’t been an issue.
The first controller didn’t seem to work … never charged the battery. That was the bad news, but the really GREAT news is that the Pikasola support person was FANTASTIC and sent a new one that worked … no questions asked.
Soooo, at one point, I might have given this product a less than stellar review, but it’s about the outcome, now isn’t it and the outcome is that this system is working fine in So Oregon … and for that reason, I’m giving this product a 5.

It is well made product. Fairly easy to assemble with the exception of figuring out what type of pole setup you’ll do. Real output will not be 400 continuous watts. It has to be perfect when conditions and power will generate as long as wind keeps going. In my setup it’s additional on top of solar.
