Pro Bullet Outdoor/Indoor 1080p Cloud Surveillance and Security Camera with Remote Viewing (4-Pack)

The Oco Brand, Pro Dome Outdoor/Indoor 1080p Cloud Surveillance and Security Camera with Remote Viewing provides a wide-angle view and a clear sharp color picture given adequate lighting. This camera is virtually a stand-alone product that works with a home or business WIFI or cabled Internet connection. I chose to use WIFI as my connection to the Internet to enable the Oco camera and view its output on the Internet. I found the Oco camera WIFI communication with my wireless router to have an effective communication range of about 75 feet. Since I installed the Oco WIFI camera outdoors about 150 feet from my wireless router, I had to install a WIFI repeater to get a reliable WIFI signal. The Oco camera must be set up with a CAT5 cable connection to initially communicate with the camera’s internal settings before the camera will communicate via WIFI. Once the camera’s internal hardware is configured to communicate via WIFI, the camera’s internal settings can be accessed and changed over a WIFI wireless connection. My greatest frustration with the Oco camera was its totally inadequate instruction booklet. I actually found more useful information on the outside of the box to help me to set up the camera than the included instruction booklet and the Oco’s web site is just as disappointing as their instruction booklet. Once I discovered the “ivideon.com” website, I found the information I needed to configure the camera over my laptop PC. I do not own a smart phone and Oco’s links to smart phone apps don’t work on my Windows PC. It was a frustrating process to say the least. Overall, I am very pleased with the picture quality and the build quality of the Oco camera. It is a good value in my opinion. I actually installed the camera where I had a dummy camera, I also obtained from Home Depot that I will relocate elsewhere as a mix of real and dummy cameras is an effective way to deter crime. As I installed the camera outdoors, I weather capped the CAT5 cable connection in case it is needed to configure the camera in the future. The included AC adapter cord was long enough to plug into the outlet strip on my workbench inside my workshop where the camera was installed outdoors. Most of the camera’s capabilities cannot be accessed without a paid account on ivideon’s web site. Yet ivideon does provide a free account that provides up to ten seconds of saved events on their server. Unfortunately, they cannot be downloaded without a paid account. Otherwise accessing the camera’s output is easy over ivideon’s web site. I set up an icon on my PC and I just click on my icon to access the Oco camera over the Internet.

One of the best features of this camera is how easy it is to setup the lan. You simply connect it to your router and add it. It uses an sd card and does not require a dvd. It is powered with the included power supply. It can be placed on a surface or mounted inside or outside using included hardware. The mounting screws are under the dome which makes it harder for someone to remove it.. The image is hi def and very clear. I like the motion detection which advises me of any activity with a message and an e mail with a video.

This Oco Pro Dome 1080p camera is a bit finicky to setup wifi and installed SD card. The wifi can only be set when the unit is on a hardwired network. You need a star bit to open the camera to install the SD card. The camera prefers newer SD card – older cards I had were just not recognized when installed. The app works best with all features if you buy a monthly cloud service starting at $6/month/camera. The camera on wifi will occasionally tear on video clips (see attached video below). It works best on a hardwire connection. I have two Oco cameras, this one is better features for outside use, the PTZ indoor camera seems to have newer more powerful hardware compared to this.

Wanted to add a security camera to my home to monitor driveway and front door deliveries. Reviewed many different cameras and decided to purchased this Oco Pro Dome. I have not been disappointed. My camera location had easy access to power, so not having to replace batteries was a plus. Installation was very easy, however setup and instructions could be a little more explanatory. The Oco support team makes up for this one flaw. They walk you through every aspect of getting your camera up and running, they even show you how to tweek the settings to your situation. Believe or not, they even call you back when you call and they are unable to answer. I’m very happy with my purchase for value and quality. By the way, HD is selling this camera for $56, $30 less than I paid.

We bought these because we needed extra security measures around our house and we love them! The work really well and the app is easy to use and manage. If we end up needing more cameras we will definitely buying them!
