    You will not get 1000W out of this, just be aware. Maybe, MAYBE under absolute ideal conditions you will get close to 1000W if measured at the panels. With all of the losses, expect 600W at your batteries.

    You’ll need additional wiring unless the panels are directly adjacent to the charge controller, batteries and inverter. Upgrading battery cables and inverter cables is also a good idea. As far as the basic system is concerned the set up is easy and the quality is decent. I have no problems with either.

    Beyond basic things get more expensive and harder to figure out how to set up. By adding a Combination box at the panel array I needed to ground/earth the box. Drove a ground rod at the panel array to ground the box, easy enough technically, pain in the butt physically.

    I also added a MOES Dual Power Controller 50A 5500 Watt Automatic Transfer Switch. The switch automatically turns off the solar power supply at a set battery low battery voltage and switches to grid power. When batteries are recharged it auto switches back to solar.

    This is where the nonexistent tech help fails. How to ground/earth the system using the MOES ATS connected to an electrical subpanel/breaker box. I haven’t received a response. Countless hours of on-line “research” wasn’t a great help either. I couldn’t find anyone that has done the same as I plan to do.

    In the end I ran a ground wire from the Combiner Box’s ground rod back to the garage. Using the screw and plate connector instead of the plug in sockets I ran the ground lead to the ground wire (using a buss bar) and the power leads to the ATC. (There is no ground connection on the ATC so this is where questions arise). From the ATC there is only the power lines going to the breaker box. The breaker box is grounded back to the (Ground/Earth) buss bar. SO the Combiner Box, Inverter and breaker box are all grounded on the same ground rod (completely separate from the house grid system)

    Everything seems to work fine. I’m not really using the system for much right now, running power tools off the system isn’t taxing it at all. I have run a 1500 watt heater a bit over and hour one morning before the ATS kicked over to grid power (Set to switch at 24 volts – I believe a bit over 50% battery charge, maybe 60) It took about two hours to switch back to solar power at 27 volt in full sun.

    Overall I’m happy with the system. It would have been nice to get some tech help. It would have saved a lot of time “researching” and I could have fried any number of components if I got it wrong.

    Bottom line – I’d do it again

    I purchased 2 of these 1K systems and 2 extra LiFePO4 batteries, then combined them into 2x 24v systems to power a 500 sq. ft tiny home completely off grid.

    DO NOT COMBINE LiFePO4 batteries in same system as LEAD ACID batteries!!! They are NOT compatible for use on the same solar setup.

    This solar setup was fairly easy to figure out for me being a DIY type of person who loves figuring out how things work. The instructions are not well written or detailed but the products are great! I have been living off grid completely for 3 months now and am able to run all the “normal” lower powered appliances of any home. I have regular home sized 15 cu ft refrigerator/freezer, 5 fans and 2 space heaters, 2 large TVs, 2 floor lamps, 3 game systems and a toaster oven that can all run off of the 2 systems I set up. The higher powered items must be used while other things are off such as the space heaters. But otherwise, can run almost everything at same time. I unfortunately can not run a microwave or the well water pump because the initial draw is just too much for these smaller systems, but they are great for everything else. I have a 5000w portable generator for the large draw devices that don’t need to be on all the time anyway.

    Built my own array in ground and attached panels as if on roof. (My preference due to the direction of roof not being ideal for solar). Also built small electrical housing shed to keep batteries, controllers and inverters setup in. Running as 24 volt system, panels in parallel then series, batteries in series then parallel.
    **Had to purchase additional solar mc4 connectors, the 4-1 (MMMMF + FFFFM) sets and some extra Y connectors in both MMF and FFM sets . It only comes with enough for a basic 12v setup.

    I have had some issues, first came some broken/damaged panels, not the companies fault but the shipper’s. Ecoworthy responded to my email within a few hours and was amazing at replacing the broken panels fast. I had the new ones in less than a week!
    A couple months down the line, one of the pwm controllers shorted out, again emailed ecoworthy asap and they responded asap. They sent a new controller out that day and I installed it just 2 days later!

    This has been one of the very best customer service experiences that I have ever had. Literally any issue I had was no problem, no hassle, we will send a new one for you. They really back their product with their guarantees!!

    Overall loving the freedom of solar these systems have brought, LOVE Ecoworthy and will be buying additional solar setups from them as we grow the homestead!!

    This product worked fine as listed, however I personally added a few items that I ordered separately like in-line fuses and extra wire.

    I must say a couple of the panels shattered in transit however DC House was very quick and very helpful to send me out a new panels immediately. They did not give me a hard time or delayed responses. I am happy with their customer service they did a great job.

    The 160 W panels, I had wired each pair in series and reading 2 to 3 A of charge on cloudy days and 7to 9 A of charge on sunny days. (For each pair) As far as I’m concerned the product works well and I’m very happy with the purchase.

    What I did was power up a storage shed to an inverter to provide 120 V power for some indoor lighting, outdoor lighting a pump and a small water pump for a dock area down by the water Where there is no utility power available. The entire system works great and I will definitely be using it again on the next project.

    From day one I’ve been disappointed with this system. Incomplete instructions, cost to much for what you get, and I can’t get the batteries to fully charge. If you don’t get sun all day I wouldn’t bother and you would have to rotate the panels to follow the sun. Also it doesn’t come complete not a big deal but you have to buy special wire and connectors about $200.
