When approaching women, many guys look for the easy way out. They often spend hours trying to memorize cheesy pua openers and pickup lines which in many cases just don’t work. In our opinion, the best way to open with a girl is with an observation opener. What is an observation opener? This is when you ask a woman a question based on your observations of the surrounding environment. Essentially, you ask her a question based on what you see her doing or wearing.
Let’s say you notice a cute girl sitting by herself with an interesting looking tattoo on her forearm. You could say something along the lines of, “Hey, your tattoo is so cool looking. What does it mean?” Or another example would be if you saw a girl in the supermarket holding a box of cereal. You can tell her that you had heard about that cereal but have never tried it, and was wondering if it was good. Or another example would be when you see a woman all dressed up. You can ask her what the special occasion is, and the conversation should (hopefully) progress from there.
In a lot of situations, there may not be any observations that you can use for starting a conversation. With this situation you can simply ask her about what she’s doing. Doing this takes slightly more experience and smoothness, as there’s a fine line between being friendly and being creepy. A random stranger asking her a semi-personal question may seem slightly invasive, but if you carry yourself in a polite and respectable way then there’s nothing to worry about. For example, if you see a woman in the book store you can simply ask her what she’s searching for. From that point on, it’s a matter of holding the conversation and talking about a topic that she finds interesting.
However, if you want to incorporate some memorized pua openers into the equation too then go for it! Just be genuine, respectful, and please… avoid the cheesiness. Here are 10 lines that are pretty effective in starting up a conversation.
1) Let me buy you a drink sometime…In many instances, the direct approach works, if executed the right way.
2) I Just Got Back from Jail, in Turkey! (outrageous stories work, folks)
3) Don’t I Know You From Somewhere? This will trigger quite a bit of curiosity, which will have her wondering about who you are and where she knows you from. This will almost always get her to stop.
4) What kind of dog is that? (Approaching a woman about her dog is an easy way to get her to open up and start a conversation)
5) Nice Shoes. Women love fashion, and complimenting their attire will certainly make them feel good about themselves.
6) Aren’t You Famous? You look so much like ____. Women love to be flattered, and telling them they look famous is a great way to do it! They’ll also likely chuckle, which will help lighten the mood.
7) Hello, I’m new in town and was wondering if you could recommend a good place to get a cup of coffee. Women by nature are helpful people so most of them would be very open to stopping to help you. This is the perfect opportunity to transition into something else, such offering to buy her drinks sometime 
8) Excuse Me, You Dropped This. This technique is kind of sneaky but it can work. You can drop a pen next to her as she walks by, stop her, and then transition into something else.
9) Ask for her advice on something. For example, if you were in a clothing store you can as her what she thinks about a shirt you’re thinking about buying for yourself.
10) Humor Works. Saying something so ridiculous that she’s forced to laugh will hopefully get her in the mood to start talking with you.
We think using a more natural, spontaneous approach rather than pua openers is the preferred strategy to successfully seduce women. However, adding some good pickup lines can certainly get the conversation going if you can’t find anything to talk about right away. A lot of times it’s about finding the perfect combination of the observation opener technique and the pickup line technique. If you can master this, you’ll feel confident about talking to a girl in any situation.
