Look great and work great. I mounted 3 solar panels to my RV 6 months ago using these brackets and permanent adhesive (VHB) tape. No additional holes in the roof. No screws at all. Even the panels themselves are taped to the brackets and then the brackets taped to the roof. And they’ve been rock solid for the past 6 months. In fact so strong I worry I won’t be able to remove them if I ever needed to. But I just added a 4th panel to my system so I ordered another set.
Not only do they look great but they protect the corners from low hanging branches. The only downside is they get sun stained over time. You can see in the photo they’re bright white but the ones on the panel further back to the right (the one I installed 6 months ago) are yellowish. Not a big deal though.
Note: You’ll want to prep the surface really well. Use a scouring pad or fine grit sandpaper to rough up all surfaces where the tape will be applied and then clean with a light solvent like rubbing alcohol. Also, I have a fiberglass roof. I would not use adhesive tape alone on a rubber roof as it will only be as strong as the rubber membrane.
