Experience the 4K difference
Thanks to the camera’s powerful 8MP image sensor, you’ll experience the difference that 4K resolution makes when it comes to your security. 4K means there are more than 8 million pixels, and that results in sharper video and higher quality digital zooms to capture the details you need.
See in color through the night
This camera features our revolutionary Color Night Vision™ (CNV) technology, which will produce full-color video with the help of external lighting around the camera. CNV also adds a further level of detail (the color of clothes or cars, for example), and increases contrast for easier detection and recognition of people and objects.
Long-range IR night vision
In regular nighttime conditions that are too dark for CNV to render full-color images, this camera will use it’s infrared LEDs to record crisp black and white video footage up to 130ft (40m) away and up to 90ft (27m) in complete darkness.
High Dynamic
Range (HDR)
HDR improves video clarity in high-contrast lighting, revealing details in extremely bright and dark areas of the image.
High Efficiency
Video Coding (HEVC)
HEVC compresses video file sizes without any noticable difference in quality, which will save you lots of hard drive space.
Full Metal
Exteriors
Heavy-duty aluminum exteriors add extra protection against vandalism and the elements, extending the life-cycle of the cameras.
Easy PoE
Installation
IP cameras only need a single Cat5e ethernet cable to connect it to a compatible NVR for video, power and a stable network connection.
Weatherproof security camera
Mother Nature is no match for this security camera. Rated IP67, it can endure anything from torrential downpours to freezing snowstorms. So go ahead and place this security camera where you need it most.

Reliable security grade hard drive with no hidden storage fees
Included in the NVR is a 2TB security-grade hard drive that has been designed to meet the demands of 24/7 surveillance, while also providing ample storage space for all recorded video footage. With the possibility of increasing storage space up to 6TB, there is more than enough room to safely store all motion events that only you can access.
Regional
Motion Zones
The NVR can program specific motion zones for heightened sensitivity (the amount of motion needed to register that movement) and threshold (how much motion is needed before creating a motion “event”).
Privacy
Masking
In the event that the camera is facing areas that you do not want recorded, simply activate the privacy masking option. Use the NVR to draw a square around the spot(s) you don’t want the camera to record.
Easy Area
Search
Find what you are looking for quickly with Lorex’s Area Search. Using the NVR, select an area of interest to automatically playback any video footage showing scene changes in that area.

Great camera system. Picture quality is really good during day. At night I live in an area with no street lights and night vision works great. Everything was easy to install one cable to ethernet cable to each camera. I had an issue having the system recognizing my cameras. I had Lorex help me set it up, they had to go and enable cameras in NVR. I wish they would have better android apps and an app for android tv. Since I use android tv it would be nice to be able to see cameras on any tv in the house without connecting through HDMI cable. Phone app works OK, you see live view but hard to do anything else in it. Like setting up motion zones. Don’t get me wrong it has that feature in the app but it is clunky. I will have to connect monitor to NVR to go through the whole set up to be able to enjoy it better in the app. DDNS service is hard to set up as well. It’s been 3 days since setup and still not able to log on. Read something in forums that it takes some time to work. We will see. I still will give it 5 stars since it does what it supposed to well, all the other stuff is nice to have and it might come at later date with updates hopefully.

This is a high quality surveillance system with state of the art features. Leave it to Lorex to devise a Network Video System (NVS) that utilizes Cat5e ethernet cables to connect the high definition (HD) surveillance cameras to the NVR. Only one Cat5e ethernet cable per camera supplies necessary power and output (what the HD camera is viewing). No more separate power supply cable(s).
Moreover, the Lorex NVR allows internet connection for latest firmware updates, while at the same time, providing an app for on ones smartphone (Apple and/o Android) to access the NVR wherever you are, via internet connection.

Setting up product is fairly simple. I still need to run cables, however I’m very pleased with this setup. All cameras and software are running great.

First the NVR is loud. It emits and constant fan noise. It’s sorta of a dull buzzing/humming sound. You can hear it easily in the same room so I would suggest you want this behind a closed door or a good distance away from bedroom. Otherwise I am please with the product. The software is a little clunky and not the most intuitive to use, to me odd things like time zones being sorted by time instead of alphabetical. Not a game breaker but still. Other things like selecting a region to zone out or not record is tricky to do first time around but easy once you you tube :). Same with smart search, simple to use once you see it in.
Image quality is good, not what I expected for a 8+mp camera but I’m content with it.
Overall great product and with remote viewing over a cell it’s a great peace of mind.
