The setup took about 20 minutes, each camera has 60ft of wire, and it’s own DVR. It needs to be hooked up to your own tv or pc monitor. but everything else is included. When you set it up, you password protect it, which is another great feature.

After using it for a few days, I am supremely impressed. The picture quality is VERY GOOD, crystal clear, and the terabyte of storage gives you the ability to record 24/7. The night vision is also super clear. It’s actually learned our faces and will tell us when a stranger approaches our house which is really cool.
Customer service has been stellar. I had a few questions during set up and called customer service and was on the phone with a tech within a minute.
Another really cool thing is the security cameras also act as a motion-activated floodlight, which is very useful at night when I’m taking the garbage out.
The app on the phone is straightforward and easy to use. It’s really nice especially at night because we can pull it up whenever we want and see what’s going on outside. It’s also pretty cool to see what animals are wandering around at night.
Installation was easier than I expected. With a drill and some good cable runway, it’s pretty easy and straightforward.

It is easy to adjust settings to control notifications from your phone. It includes the necessary cables and hardware to install the cameras.

Not so good…the cables! It was not difficult to install. My husband and I installed all the cameras by our self, but all those cables where a hassle. The hard work pays off!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this system about a month ago and the weather was perfect for installation. I have to admit that I had a previous system that was another brand that was no longer working. Having that system allowed me to switch the lines really easily and replace the cameras. So set up for me was only about 1.5 hours. That being said, if you had to run all new lines and set it up from the start shouldn’t take you more than a couple hours. It is super easy and the step by step directions walk you through it. I quickly learned this system is much better than my previous system. Not to mention my other system did not have an app to use my phone with. The quality of the video are much better. I travel a lot for work and this system give me the freedom to be out there knowing my family is safe and I can access it from anywhere I am. Super excited to have this and would recommend to anyone looking for a security system like this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Night Owl spotlight cameras now for about 2 months. First and foremost, the packaging was amazing and made putting together a breeze! At first I was a little overwhelmed thinking I would have to wait till my husband got home, but no, I was thrilled to know I was able to set everything up before he got home, but had him do the wiring.
Once I had everything unboxed and set-up, it was tine to syce to the app! This process was very impressive! It was very easy to create my account, and syce the 6 cameras, just like that! I will mention, using the ethernet for setup, makes it go quick.
Now onto the wiring which my hubby and I, did together! This process was just a easy as all the other steps. I’m still very impressed with the easy set-up and install of these night owl cameras.
If you have any trouble at all, Night Owl has very detailed and easy to follow videos for you to follow.
Now back to the wiring of the camera, we was happy with how overall quick and easy to follow instructions this made for us.
The wiring was very thick and perfect for protection, and with a screw you have your cameras all setup and all protected. I loved the simple turn connection for the hookups to the DVR and the camera.
Once all those steps were all done it was time to look at the cameras all setup. I couldn’t be any happier with the detailed view. The picture was absolutely incredible both on my tv and phone app. Both day time and night time, was very nice to see how clear and safe we are now.
The app gives me alerts when I need and doesn’t over do it, with useless notifications. The night owl has made my family and I feel so safe and we have been so blessed to know they protect us and lets us know of any danger we need to see. We are so thankful knowing we have some safety at out home. We love the app, we love the picture of the cameras and we loved the easy set-up. We definitely recommend night owl security cameras for your protection. You won’t be disappointed.

Each cameras are well made and looks like it will last me a long time. Looks very slick and easy to mount. Picture quality is superb. You could see great details even when zooming in. The 2tb DVR is a major plus. No need to pay extra for any outside service to provide recording.
