Does the job it was designed for and made out of fairly decent material.
Would of been nice to have some rubber feet.
Holds my 100w panel really well, so I can’t complain to much. 😉

I bought the $100 set that’s on Amazon as well and they didn’t work well. This one is way better priced and came with the exact parts needed to make it work well. I ordered 4 sets for my panel arrays and it worked great. If the price stays the same I plan on purchasing many more.

These are great but came with no instructions. I had to watch YouTube several times (thank goodness for YouTube) in order to figure out how to install them. Once installed it’s great. Works fine, easy to adjust, holds up panel nicely.

we used it to support a box we made to house a garden hose rolled and filled with water for our solar heater for the hot tub. It is heavy, and the wheels are useful.

all seemed good until the part with black knob had bad threads on the end and wouldn’t allow nut to thread on straight – I didn’t have tools to file out the smashed thread on the end…. added aggregation and time to my project. I ended up getting a bolt and nut to get it installed that day and contacted Amazon – they did send me out a set of similar parts that should work as a replacement for the bolt I used….
I did go out to get extra aluminum angle – I’m going to use to support the back since I tilted it for the winter months here in OHIO. Seemed a little weak leaning that far for any high winds that do occur during the fall and wither months here.

I would have given it five stars if it weren’t for a couple of issues. First, there is instruction sheet for the assembly of the brackets, you get three pieces of brackets with bunch of nuts and bolts. I received my order in a reasonable amount of time but a few washers and bolts were missing due to flimsy packaging. Heavy stainless steel mounting bolts, washers and nuts are shipped in a very thin zip-lock bag that is loos inside a thin corrugated cardboard box which didn’t stand a chance of making it in one piece during transit (it was shipped via USPS by the way). Frankly I was surprised how many actually made it. Metal brackets with sharp square corners punched a hole on the one corner. Basically the bolts punched a hole through the thin wall of the zip-lock bag and few of the washers and nuts found their way out of the box So I had to make a trip to the local hardware store to pick up the missing parts.

I recently purchased a 20′ shipping container that I use as a small workshop and for storage. It’s located in a storage yard, so no electricity available.
I purchased a solar panel, batteries and an inverter and mounted the panel on the roof with a Renogy adjustable panel mount. I was very happy with the mount, but realized that I could benefit from an additional panel, based on my usage.
Unfortunately, I didn’t plan for that in my initial haste. With the angle of my container off of due south, my placement of the mount/panel couldn’t be square to the container. Given where I placed the panel/mount, mounting an additional panel next to the existing panel would cause an overhang.
So the plan was to go vertical. Renogy didn’t make a mount that would allow vertical and Eco-Worthy and some other vendor were the only two that seemed to have a mount big enough allowing me to vertically stack my two panels.
So, the “L” stock is not the same dimensions as the Renogy. That’s not bad in and of itself, but it is smaller and a thinner gauge, so not as sturdy. This is not a deal breaker, but just an FYI. This caused me to have to perform some rooftop re-engineering as the narrower dimension of the “L” meant they wouldn’t quite fit my already in place bases and I didn’t want to have to drill new holes in my roof.
Then I mounted the two panels on the long “L” bars and found out the panels weren’t level. While the two “L” bars are drilled identically, the holes are not spaced equally from both ends. Normally you would mirror these two bars (one facing left the other facing right), but doing so will cause your mounting holes to be off by 1″. The only option was to have both bars facing the same direction.
Very frustrating and looks like I made it from scraps. Just a little engineering on their part would have made for a much better product at no extra cost.
I’ll update with some photos when I go back up on the roof.

I’m somewhat baffled by the couple negative reviews on the holes not lining up and a lousy design. I have 3 large, 300W panels ground mounted horizontally using these brackets and they work great. I mounted the brackets to pressure treated 2×4’s and then drove 18″ spikes thru the lumber to secure everything and it’s worked phenomenally well thru wind and rainstorms.

Installed 2 No. 100W panels onto the mounting brackets and they work well and are easy to assemble with and operated nut and bolt. The solar panel mounting brackets are supplied with the panels. I’ve got the whole setup on the ground and it wobbles a bit but nothing concerning. If the brackets are fixed to something on the bottom rail it would be very solid. Very good system.

This kit exceeded my expectations. High quality aluminum angle pieces, with pre – punched holes, and slots.
The complete hardware kit was enclosed in the package. The included bolts are 5/16 X 1″, and fit the holes in the angle pieces perfectly. Each kit also included 6 knob bolts, for easy adjustment of the panel angle.
No instructions were included, but I had no difficulty in assembling the bracket kits to the panels.
Lay the pieces out, next to the panel(s); and think it through, before putting the bolts in.
My particular solar panels were from HQST, which required 4 mounting bolts 3/4″ X 1/4″. I did not mind supplying those 4 bolts, and lock nuts. I recommend this kit, and would buy it again.
Update: 3-11-20 The hardware is Metric, not SAE. I think it is stainless steel, also. I found that in some configurations, it may be necessary to trim the corners off the slotted angles. to have adequate movement for use of the slots for fine adjustment. I still like the kit, and recommend it. Having checked prices for aluminum angles available locaslly, I could not find slotted aluminum angle, but what they did have locally, was pricey, confirming to me, that this kit seems to be a good value.

The holes have been drilled out of phase, by a factor of half.
This means that your solar panels will be significantly skewed if bolted onto these brackets.
This can of course cause issues to your solar panel lifespan, especially if subject to even mildly windy conditions.
There are also consist manufacturing defects with the holes that have been drilled. The holes are not around. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue or but the frame is very flimsy and this just further reduces the strength.
This in combination with the holes being out of phase has rendered the brackets useless.
