The product was received as stated. The installation was a little challenging because I’m a carpenter who’d rather avoid electrical things but the phone calls to windy nation, the online manual & YouTube got me through it. I built a storage shed for a client who I’ve worked for many years. They loved the idea of the shed being off grid.

I am not technically skilled, but was able to follow the excellent instructions and just recently installed the panel, charge controller, battery , inverter, and hydroponic pump and the system is working. I did ask an auto parts company on how to use the supplied fuses and had to purchase two inline fuse holders. I did have a little difficulty with the MC4 connectors and needed to know how important they are in connecting the entire electricity system.

I was interested in starting an off-grid solar system… I chose windy nation because it seems like a great value and a perfect system for somebody just trying to get into solar… After purchasing the system and a 12 volt battery I thought it would be all set… The solar panel worked excellently… Completely charged the battery much faster than I thought it would… I thought I would test out my system first by charging my Pixel phone, it worked for 30 minutes and has not worked since I have been trying to figure out what the issue is for 2 months now… The instructions are incredibly vague, especially considering their advertising this product for first-timers… And after emailing their customer support they were equally as vague… After going over and over the possible issues I nailed it down to it is simply a bad inverter… I’m going to try to fix the issue for one more week and after that if I have no luck I will be returning this system to Amazon… however I would gladly give windination a five-star review if I could just get my system up and running but you know…

if using a 12volt golf battery it will run lights and small appliances will not run microwave or small coffee maker you need more battery storage for that.

Battery could not hold a charge out of the box. I attempted to charge the battery using different sources. Finally got battery up to 12.4 volts using slow trickle charger but only held for about 2 hours pulling a small load on a sunny day in Las Vegas hooked back up to provided solar panel.
WindyNation has a no return policy. Be careful about purchasing products from WindyNation.

Easy to install and works well. Doesn’t give me quite as much power as I’d like.

Customer support is nonexistent, the panels are rated 100 watts but they’re own inverter does not recognize any wattage. I bought a 300 watt panel locally and the inverter recognised the 300 watt input. The system was installed and 6 months later the charge controller died could not get a replacement or technical support.
