This pairs really well with an Ikea HÅRTE desk lamp since the power cord for this lamp is USB. When I first plugged it in, it was shutting off all the time if I sat too still. The photos mention that you can adjust the time delay. This is true, but its quite hard to do and there are no instructions. The cover pops off and there is a little tiny blue and grey dial on the circuit board. You need a small screwdriver to turn it, and there are no calibrations or indications of which way to turn. It was hard to turn at first and then it snapped and turned easily. I thought maybe I had broken it. I turned it some 300 degrees CCW, plugged it back in, and now it works great. The lamp stays on while I sit still and work, and turns off when I leave.

It took me awhile to review this product as I was looking for a USB extension cord to hook this sensor to a LED lamp for a dark corner in my stairwell. Sensor range was about 3 m and stayed for about 1 min. Previous reviews indicated that the duration can be set but I am very satisfied with the default setting so far.

Granted I have just opened and installed this inline on an LED circuit to create a running light in a hallway. Hooked it up, waited for the initial cycle for the lights to go out, moved slightly and the LED lights lit up instantly. Exactly what I wanted.
Update: Now October 21,2019 still working flawlessly

I did check out with intented materials and light bulb all USB/LED set up. And happy it appears to work and function as described. We use numerous recharge and night lights that plug into wall all LED’s about home. But it gets old recharging all the time but better than the battery eating similar variety of lights about home we replaced too. This will allow us to place an LED low watt bulb into a clear light fixture that hangs from ceiling midway down a very long over 26 foot dark no lit hallway and at night going to bed it will come on as you pass and it’ll time out and turn off after you have passed. Our home built in the 50’s was custom built and it’s difficult and sometimes impossible to rewire or update wiring system. So LED’s and USB and LED’s are definitely a welcome and rescue in our home.

Bought this to use with the new Catit flower fountain. Having the fountain work 24/7 is a waste of energy and pump life and helps in keeping the water cooler due to pump being off until the cats show up to drink. Working very well and the cats got used to it turning on when they cross the sensor path. Must have with cat or dog fountains with the new style usb connections for the power supply. I used mactac to stick it to the wall no screws needed.

We actually have FOUR of the units and they all work perfectly with our light strips. As the other review states, yank the back off of the PIR and use a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the timeout period. We have done this many times so it now takes us under 30 seconds to complete. Your first time will be confusing because there are no time indicators for the adjustment so you need to adjust and test.
This is a great value and works beautifully as a motion sensor. We have one of these in our shower. Our shower door is clear glass and the motion sensor cannot see through glass, which is PERFECT. We do not want the lights triggered while using the bathroom sink

I had higher hope. Mine is after the allotted time is turning off and then turns back on instead of staying on and then only turning off after all the motion has stopped for the allotted time.

This motion sensor is better than my wireless motion sensor alarm. It is almost double the range of the wireless one, so I replaced the motion sensor with this sensor and it works well. They both said 5m but that one is under some kind of condition obviously.

Works well, just make sure you buy a USB strip light to go with it. If you have a light that changes color, it seems to flicker green before going to its actual color. Maybe use with a straight white strip.

Kinda bummed when you pay attention at the amount of amps it says this can handle which on the pic provided on amazon website shows it to be 5 amps, and when it arrives you check the specs and they say it only handles 2 amps. False advertising and safety issues if someone doesn’t check before installing relying on the info provided with a picture even on Amazon. Then of course it shows up 3 days late from prime delivery time.

As suggested by another purchaser I added this to a Catit water fountain since I didn’t want it to run all the time. When I first attached this to the fountain it turned on every time I walked by because the range it picked up motion was too far but I solved that by attaching the motion sensor to the underside of the fountain plug so that it only turns on when the cat walks up to her food and fountain. It’s perfect!

I ordered in the midnight and received very next day at 2pm.
It is amazing in winter time where the neighborhood covered with heavy snow.
2. Item works perfectly.
I used this as sensor for LED strip lights in pantry. It will immediately turn on the LED lights when the door is open.
3. small size sensor with right size extension cords
I can attach to the proper suitable location for most effective result.
Con:
If you do not move in about 20 seconds, the light will turn off. However, for PIR sensor, it is already did the best job it can do.
The price should be a bit lower for such a small device.
I still give it a 4 stars due to the price.
