I test a lot of solar cells. These are an excellent value and a recommended buy. So why only 4 stars? Because this, like almost all solar companies, claims a “theoretical, lab-value” wattage, not what they actually produce. Until they start advertising wattages at close to real world conditions, then they will not get 5 stars from me.
Test Conditions:
Florida, April, Clear sky, noonish, 75 degrees, panels pointed directly at sun (so pretty much real-world ideal)
Epever Triron MPPT 30 amp charger, LiFEPO 175 AH battery about half charged.
Two Newpowa 200watt (claimed) panels tested.
They averaged about 170 watts during my test (varied between 165 and 175 with perfect sun). That’s an 85% actual-to-claimed wattage, which is fairly typical. I saw 11.3 amps (at 15.4 volts) output, which is pretty close to their claimed maximum operating amps of 11.76 (but they claim that at 17v, hence their 200 watt claim).
Keeping all that in mind, I connected both in series and the MPPT charger was pumping a pretty steady 23 amps into my battery at around 13.7 volts – pretty nice for two panels of this size range. The power per square foot comes out pretty comparable to similar panels I’ve tested in lower wattages.
They almost come out to $1 per watt which should be a target for anyone looking for solar panels now. You can get some for slightly less than $1 per watt but then you need to factor in support, reliability, warranty, etc. One of my favorite panels is the RICH SOLAR 50/80/100 Watt 12 Volt ETFE Flexible panel – they reach claimed wattage and are tough and lightweight, though more expensive per watt than glass frame panels because they are flexible (but they are great for extra panels that need to be portable). The BougeRV 170 panels are nice too.
If you don’t know how to test a panel, please don’t post a review about them not delivering power. I highly recommend the Epever Triron MPPT chargers. I have two and will probably buy more.

I hooked it up briefly to ensure it worked and It did. It was purchased mainly for a future solar build and I wanted to test one first, before committing to more.
It put out decent wattage and good amperage. It is right where it should be for it being the winter season where I am. I expect it to top out in the summer sun.
I have four more panels on the way as part of a 1000 w system. I liked it well enough to invest in them for my off grid solar build.
Bottom line is they are good panels in my humble opinion. They suit my purposes and my needs at reasonable prices.
10% off these panels at the Newpowa website for Memorial Day. Even better deal. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that till after I ordered my panels through amazon. I won’t make that mistake again.

Originally I bought a Eco-Worthy 195 Watt panel, but it was delivered with a corner damaged and the glass had a million cracks. I didn’t want to take another chance because the packaging was awful. A thin cardboard box with a thin foam covering the glass, so I decided on a refund and bought this one.
I am replacing a Renogy 100 watt panel. The most output I could get in direct sunlight was 62%. That produced 4.5 amps maximum. It couldn’t keep up with the battery drain. I’m using a Renogy 30 watt PWM controller.
This Newpowa exceeded expectations. Check out above photo. This 200 watt panel does 180 watts at 13 amps. Same controller. The packaging was much much better. The cardboard box was double the thickness with thicker foam covering the glass, plus cardboard and foam on each corner. I was worried about more damage since it traveled by truck from California to the East Coast. I like this panel so much I’m ordering another one, plus a mppt controller.

In less then 6 months on top of my RV which never moved until this last week and I decide to check all was good on roof top

They won’t warranty it for physical damage
The thing breaking up all my other panels perfectly fine …. go buy from another brand

I bought this panel to keep my auxiliary batteries charged up for my RV. Great buy! In fact, I am going to buy another one soon. Super easy to install and connect. I suggest buying the correct gauge connection cables for the panel to the solar controller, and the solar controller to the battery. The panel has kept my two extra batteries full and it hasn’t even had a day of full sunlight. Definitely recommend by me. Thank you!

I bought for of these for a project I’m working on this spring. One panel arrived damaged. The seller quickly responded to my return request asking for pictures. They decided not to have me ship back the damaged panel and provided a refund. Excellent customer service so far! The panels seem to be great quality and during my brief testing seem to perform as advertised. I would have no reservations with recommending these to anyone looking for high quality panels.

I bought 6 of the 200 watt panels several weeks ago for use on top of our 5th Wheel RV and could not be happier. They arrived within a few days and the the packaging was outstanding. No damage whatsoever. I just installed these so I’ll update this later with details on efficiency but so far so good!

These panels will be going on my RV so I tested them and each panel put out approx 190w each and 384w for 2 panels wired in series which is awesome for January here in Canada.

I’ve installed two of these and gotten over 300W in the Sacramento Valley where the sun is intense. This is about par for the course and my 100W Renogy panels deliver about the same (about 75% of panel rating. The number will vary from day to day so I’m sure on some days I’ll get closer to 400W just as my Renogy panels do. The real test will be when camping at 7500 feet elevation. There are places where my 100W Renogy panels have delivered 125 Watts largely due to the hole-in-the-cloud effect but in part due to the clear air. Of course at 7500 feet one expects more power than the industry standards used to spec panels.
The frames on these panels are adequate. I had no problem with flexing when I lifted one corner to put goop under a foot (other side screwed down, same side foot free to rise). The frames are not heavier than my Renogy 100W frames in spite of the larger panel, but more robust frames would mean more weight on the RV roof and I don’t need or want that.
The open circuit voltage of about 24V is fine for either series or parallel operation.
