I bought two of the 150w mono panels a couple months ago. Now that it is summer I tested the output of each individually and in series. Each 150w panel produced 100w max at solar noon, zero cloud cover, and tilt and direction optimized. In series they produce 200 watts, never a watt more. I have them connected to my Ecoflo Delta using the included 14awg 10ft cable.

Since my last lost i did more research and testing. Rated wattage is based on Standard test conditions (STC) which you wont see in real life. Common reasons for decreased output vs rating (excluding wiring, battery type etc) is angle of the sun and panel (you want 90 degree angle), sun intensity which varies on latitude and time of year not only time of day and cloud cover. There are calculators you can use to estimate your sun light intensity. Mine is usually under 1000w/m^2 which is what is used for standard test conditions. Temperature of the cells is also a huge factor and where i think most of my power loss is. STC have the cells at 25C, but the NOCT, which is the expected temp while in 20C air with a 1m/s breeze is 47C. With a power loss of up to 0.55%/C over 20C. For me its about 32C in the shade so my cell temp will be higher than that 47C. I estimate 50C for maths sake but i have a thermometer on the way to get measurements. So 0.55% ×(50C-20C)=16.5% loss. 150W theoretical max × 0.165= 24.75W lost to inefficiency due to higher temps. Later on, with some more tweaks I was able to get 110-115W out of each panel.
This seems to be an industry wide norm, more realistic test conditions should be used to give a second less ideal rating so people new to solar have more realistic expectations. PTC is used in California and is better than STC for realism that rating should be listed as well. I did note that the NOCT used PTC conditions on the data sheet but the rated wataged didnt actually list what conditions were used to come up with the 150W rating, i assume STC.
All and all these seems to be as good as any other panel out there based on my research. They are reliable thus far in their power production and are sturdy. I will increase my rating to 4 stars, i would give 5 stars if they had a little more transparency for realistic output but no one does in the market currently so no solat panel would get a 5 star rating from me yet. This is the second panel of this type I have purchased. The dimensions of this panel fit perfectly on my van’s crossbars. I’ve wired these to my Goal Zero 1400 with Powerpole connectors. I’ve recorded 105W from a single panel when the sun is overhead. These panels do not exceed 22V, which is a requirement for Goal Zero 1400 input. With the second one wired in parallel, I noted over 200W, and the sun was already past apex. If these continue to perform at this level, I think the investment was well worth it.

I bought 3 of these for my 5th wheel RV and installed myself. They seem well made, durable. They perform as described from what I can tell. Let’s see how they hold up and operate when I get an MPPT charge controller instead of PWM, which is not efficient at extracting wattage/amperage from the panels.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE NEG REVIEWS. THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW SOLAR ACTUALLY WORKS. Rarely are you going to get full wattage from any panel. Plus the battery has to be very low or lithium to get full charge power. If its near full the controller limits the input wattage. Then you have to factor sun angle, wire runs, junction resistance, etc. I have 5 doffere t brands and theure all the same. Expect 60-80% rated wattage based on all these factors.
If you think getting some other brand like renogy made on the same chinese assembly line with a different sticker on it will get you 30% more wattage, you’re in for a disappointment.
Writing negative reviews due to uninformed and unrealistic expectations is unfortunate.

Shipped quickly and safely.
Construction looked good. But the plastic cover holding the wires was not sealed correctly. They used some type of sealant but did not apply a proper seal. Missed some spots. I had to reseal.
I was also looking at some other panels and noticed that this one has a few imperfections . The black part on the top of the panel is not as even and clear as other panels I have looked at.

These came in handy because I could not fit the more common 60″ long panels where I wanted them. At ~50″ these were smaller enough that I could pack 1200W on my RV roof. On a clear sunny day at 1pm Oct 9th I observed 1140W output which suggests to me that come July these might outperform their rated wattage. I’m a happy customer so far.

I hung these on the davits of my sailboat about 1.5 years ago. They work great keeping my house bank charged. I don’t even pay for dock electric anymore. At $35 a month for dock electric, they have already paid for themselves a couple times over. This is in Central Florida, high humidity, high heat and a salt water environment.

If I knew that these $200 panels out perform Renogy’s $300 panels I would have never bought Renogy at all. I love these. They perform and average 8 amps even in shady sun. Awesome, and even do 12 amps in full sun, way awesome. Build quality is awesome also and they showed up in 2 days compared to Renogy which took 3 weeks and one never came because it broke in the mail. Good Job NEWPOWA! I ended up buying 4 instead of 1!
